Downloading by link: what to expect

SaveVid accepts links to individual YouTube videos and Shorts. Once the video is found, you will see its title and available resolutions. Choose the quality, wait for preparation to finish and save your file.

SaveVid is free to use. You do not need a SaveVid account, a browser extension or a separate app to download videos. For step-by-step instructions and help with errors, see the download guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download YouTube videos for free?

Yes. Downloads are free, and donations through Telegram Stars are optional. You do not need to pay to choose the quality or save a file.

Will the downloaded video have sound?

Yes. SaveVid prepares an MP4 with video and audio. If your chosen quality needs conversion, you will see a note before downloading.

Can I save a video on my phone?

Yes. Open SaveVid in your phone’s browser, paste the link and choose the quality. When the file is ready, tap “Save file”. Look for the video in your browser’s downloads or your file manager.

Why are some resolutions missing?

The options depend on the original video. If it has no 1080p or 4K version, SaveVid cannot offer one. Choose a lower resolution if you want a smaller file.

What are the limits?

Videos can be up to 60 minutes long, and the finished file can be up to 1024 MB. Files remain available for up to 6 hours. Some videos may be unavailable because of YouTube restrictions.
