About SaveVid

SaveVid helps you save YouTube videos using a link. Choose an available quality, and the service prepares an MP4 with sound for your phone or computer.

What SaveVid does

Download individual videos or Shorts without signing up. Videos can currently be up to 60 minutes long, with finished files up to 1024 MB. The available resolutions depend on the original video. Each video’s availability is checked when you request it.

For compatibility, the finished MP4 contains H.264 video and AAC audio. SaveVid converts the file when needed, which can take extra time. The download guide explains how to choose the quality and resolve common errors.

Where your file is stored

Files are prepared on the server and remain available for up to 6 hours. After that, you need to prepare them again. Download links are tied to your browser session. There is no public catalogue of downloaded videos.

Do not enter passwords, tokens or other confidential information in the form. A normal video link is all you need. SaveVid is not a YouTube service and is not affiliated with its owner.

Free downloads and optional donations

Downloads are free. If you would like to support the project through Telegram Stars, use the “Support” button at the top of the home page. This is a voluntary, one-time payment and is not required to download videos.

Using downloaded videos

Save your own videos or videos you have permission to download. A publicly accessible link does not, by itself, give you permission to republish someone else’s work.
